The central part of Roatan roughly runs from Dixon's Cove to Carib Point. French Harbour and French Cay are the economic drive of Roatan. Lobster boats and shrimp trawlers sell their catch before it is being shipped to the American and Central American consumption market. Other interesting things to do are visiting the Arch Family Iguana Farm or one of the bays and cays such as Brick Bay, Jesse Arch Cay, Sarah Cay, First Bight or Second Bight.
Most diving is done near French Harbour at well known dive sites such as Valley of the Kings, 40 Foot Point and the Chimneys. Mary's Place is probably the most popular dive site in Honduras, with thrilling deep faults in the reef filled with silver sides and glass fish. The north also offers excellent dive site but these are less regularly visited and it is hard to find dive boats that bring you there.
